Prompt for this run
Build a pentatonic synthesizer pad grid and arpeggiator using the provided Tone.js library. Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed. Write it to `index.html` in the current working directory using your file tools. Inline your own CSS and JavaScript. Do not use external assets, CDNs, or network requests. Use the provided `tone.min.js` (global `Tone`) through a plain local script tag; the runner will inline it into the final artifact. Required behavior: - Show ten labeled pads for two octaves of a C-major pentatonic scale. Clicking a pad plays its note through a synthesized voice with reverb and visibly marks the active pad. - Provide a separate sequence-selection toggle for each pad. Start with a nonempty selection. The arpeggiator repeatedly plays selected notes in ascending pitch order, one note per eighth-note step. - Provide Play, Stop, and a tempo control from 60 to 180 BPM. Tempo and selection changes take effect during playback. An empty selection produces no new notes. - Activate audio through a user gesture. Stop prevents new arpeggiator notes, allowing existing release and reverb tails to decay. Repeated Play must not create overlapping schedulers. - Synthesize every sound; do not load audio files. Verify: Click a pad and check its active feedback. Start the arpeggiator, change one selected note and the tempo, and check that the visible sequence responds. Stop playback and inspect the console for audio-initialization or scheduling errors.

Worker blob blocked — Tone.Reverb likely uses OfflineContext worker? Tone 14 uses workers for... actually Tone.Reverb generates reverb via OfflineAudioContext — the worker CSP error may come from Tone's use of a worker? Actually Tone.js doesn't use workers. The blob worker error might be from something else. But warnings: AudioContext not started until gesture — fine. Also status text didn't show; fine. Test interactions: click pad, click Play, toggle seq, change tempo, Stop.
UI renders. Now test the interactions.

Pad works, active feedback visible, no errors. Now click Play, then change tempo, then toggle a seq, then Stop.
Pad click works with visible active state and "Played C4" status. Now start the arpeggiator.

Error: "Cannot set properties of undefined (setting 'value')" — `seq.bpm.value` — Sequence has no bpm in Tone v14? Remove that line (transport bpm applies to sequence automatically since it uses '8n' notation). Fix.
Found an error: `seq.bpm` doesn't exist in Tone v14 — the Sequence already follows transport BPM. Fixing.

Clicked on bpmBox spinner (value 120). Use the slider instead — drag to ~150. Or type into the box. Let me set the range input via drag or keyboard. Simpler: click on slider at appropriate x. Range spans about x=345..470 for 60..180. 150 BPM → (150-60)/120 ≈ 0.75 → x≈345+0.75*125≈439.

E4 SEQ now on. Verify status shows updated sequence — statusEl wasn't updated on seq toggle during playback (I only makeSeq, didn't update status). Minor: update status on toggle. Let me add that. Also test Stop. First patch the status update, then reload and quick re-test Play/Stop.
Sequence toggle works during playback. Let me also make the status line reflect the live sequence on toggle, then verify Stop.

Stop works, no new errors (the blob-worker CSP error occurs at Tone.js load time from Tone's internal AudioWorklet-ish polyfill? Actually it appears on load, before our code — sandbox environment CSP, not our bug; audio still works via normal nodes). Also repeated Play tested earlier implicitly? I did Play once after reload each time. Quickly test Play→Play again for no duplicate scheduler. One more Play double-click test.
Stop works cleanly. One last check: repeated Play must not overlap schedulers.

Done — `index.html` is complete and verified. **What was built** (single self-contained file, local `tone.min.js` script tag): - **10 pads** for C4–A5 C-major pentatonic; each click triggers a triangle-wave `PolySynth` through a `Tone.Reverb` and flashes the pad blue (active feedback). - **SEQ toggle per pad** (starts with C4, D4, G4, C5, E5 selected); the arpeggiator uses a `Tone.Sequence` at `'8n'` steps playing selected notes in ascending pitch order, with a status line showing the live note chain. - **Play / Stop / tempo** (slider + number box, 60–180 BPM). Audio is initialized inside a user gesture via `Tone.start()`. Play calls `transport.stop()`, `cancel()`, and disposes any prior Sequence before rebuilding, so repeated Play never stacks schedulers. Stop disposes the sequence so no new notes fire while release/reverb tails decay. All sound is synthesized — no audio files. **Verified in browser:** - Pad click → highlight + "Played C4" status, no console errors. - Play → arpeggiator runs with correct ascending order shown. - Tempo slider mid-playback → transport ramps to 152 BPM live. - SEQ toggle mid-playback → sequence rebuilt instantly and status updated (E4 inserted in order). - Stop → clean halt, no scheduling errors. - Play pressed twice → no duplicate/overlapping scheduler. - Fixed one bug found during testing (`seq.bpm` doesn't exist in Tone v14; Sequence follows transport BPM). **Console notes:** the blob-worker CSP error and AudioContext warnings come from the sandboxed runner environment at Tone.js load time (before any interaction) and don't affect our code; actual audio behavior under real user gesture couldn't be heard, only verified structurally. Empty-selection silence path is implemented (Play shows "No notes selected") but not visually exercised in the run.
