Prompt for this run

Build a 3D Lorenz-attractor visualization using the provided Three.js library. Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed. Write it to `index.html` in the current working directory using your file tools. Inline your own CSS and JavaScript. Do not use external assets, CDNs, or network requests. Use the provided `three.min.js` (global `THREE`) through a plain local script tag; the runner will inline it into the final artifact. Required behavior: - Integrate the Lorenz system with sigma = 10, rho = 28, beta = 8/3, and initial state (0.1, 0, 0). Use a stable numerical time step. - Draw a luminous-looking, colored trajectory progressively as the system evolves, revealing its two-lobed butterfly shape. Keep trajectory storage bounded; actual bloom postprocessing is optional. - Frame the full attractor initially. Dragging orbits the camera around it, and the mouse wheel changes camera distance without entering the geometry. - Provide Pause/Resume and Reset. Pause freezes trajectory growth while camera controls remain usable; Reset clears the trail and restores the initial simulation state. - Only the core global THREE library is provided. Implement camera interaction without importing unavailable addons. Verify: Sample trajectory growth, orbit the camera, and check that the existing trail remains connected and visible from the new angle. Pause growth while moving the camera, then reset and check that the trail starts again from the initial state.

I need build in /tmp/job... Should inspect files, make index single self-contained except script three local. Should have robust high visual. Should have at most15. Should use browser checks. I'll design rich dark observatory Lorenz visualization full page perhaps controls. Should implement integration bounded, progressive. Three version unknown. Inspect.

I'll write. Perhaps r146? Use THREE.BufferGeometry etc. Visual requirements luminous colored trajectory. Can make line with additive glow multiple line segments? Standard LineBasicMaterial linewidth ignored. For nice luminous trail use THREE.Line with color vertex colors, additive blending, perhaps draw thick via tube? Progressive many thousands. Could use two lines overlay same positions with opacity to mimic glow (not actually thicker). Add point at head sprite with canvas texture generated inline allowed. Add particles stars? Attractor framed.

Trajectory storage bounded perhaps max 24000 points with ring complexity reset attributes. Simplest prealloc Float32Array(MAX*3), color array. Initially fill positions initial. During each animation integrate fixed steps 8? dt .004 8 => .032 simulation/frame ~ 1.9 units/sec; max points 26000 long. Start growth visible. Use line geometry with setDrawRange(0,count). When reaches max shift arrays using copyWithin to left and overwrite append to retain continuity. Doing per step expensive if full each step after saturated but okay 24000*8 huge. Instead ring buffer tricky connected across wrap with draw range segments. Could use chunks or shift once batch per frame. Simulation accumulator fixed dt and steps capped. At each frame append all positions into preallocated and if exceed max, copyWithin once after batch. I can keep pending new points arrays then shift. Simpler integrate steps per frame max 6 and after collecting if count+n > MAX shift arrays by overflow then append. Color evolving based x or point index/velocity. Use color gradient cyan to violet to warm pink based x sign and speed. Vertex colors static per stored point. Fade tail by age would require recolor each frame expensive. Colors based x and y gives lobes different colors. luminous additive plus soft glow line behind. On shift colors too. line.renderOrder.

Full attractor center roughly (0,0,25) coordinates transform world x=x, y=z-25, z=y perhaps view shape x horizontal z vertical. Set mapping world (x, z-25, y) => vertical y is Lorenz z. Camera at (72,42,88) target (0,0,0), bounds x +-20, y -25..25, z +-27. Distance 120 initial perhaps vertical fits at aspect. Perspective FOV 45 distance 95 -> height 79, enough. Attractor max z 50 => y 25; camera dist 100. Camera (66,34,82) dist112. UI left and right overlays. Should responsive.

Camera custom orbit with spherical theta phi, radius clamp [62,180], "without entering geometry" min radius perhaps 55. Attractor max radius 45 so min60 safe. Drag pointer on canvas excluding UI. Damping perhaps velocities? implement targetTheta/Phi/Radius and current smoothing. pointerdown set capture, pointermove target theta -= dx*.005 etc. wheel targetRadius *= exp(deltaY*.001) clamp 58..185. Touch supported pointer. Double click reset view optional. Keyboard space pause, R reset; buttons. Resize.

Scene dark fog perhaps background #050711. Grid floor custom GridHelper rotated? Lorenz floating center. Add very subtle polar grid behind on y=-31 with GridHelper(120,24,...), opacity .1. Stars Points with deterministic random sphere perhaps background. No external.

HUD: top brand LORENZ / 01 DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS; title Strange attractor, subtitle deterministic chaos rendered live. Controls bottom panel? Main stage all screen. Left top nav brand "FIELD / 01" with tiny orbit logo CSS. Large title at top-left around 100px "Order inside\nchaos." but user wants visualization not landing. Could have Lorenz attractor title. Layout: header at top with logo mark Lorenz / dynamical study; live status top right. Side left info below header with eyebrow "NONLINEAR DYNAMICS", h1 Lorenz<br>attractor, desc and equation panel. Right vertical telemetry "SYSTEM STATE" x y z with values and trace count. Bottom center controls pill pause reset and "Drag to orbit · Scroll to zoom", bottom left params σ 10.000 ρ28 β2.667; bottom right simulation speed etc. Avoid obscure trajectory. Canvas.

Should progressive starts initial point no prefill. Initially frame full attractor via camera. Could include ghost faint full attractor? Requirement draw progressively revealing, full attractor initially means camera not pretrail. I shouldn't precompute visible full. Perhaps no ghost.

Head marker with sprite glow canvas radial texture plus Points small sphere. Head positions.

Pause stops growth, state values freeze, head perhaps pulse continues okay. Reset sets (0.1,0,0), count 1, time0. Buttons text Pause/Resume and icon. Status live/paused. Reset starts again immediately per check. Should sample growth accessible data for browser inspect. Could set window.lorenzApp object with getSnapshot state, count, time, paused, camera etc and reset/pause functions useful. Browser DOM inspect likely. Add data-point-count to body or #pointCount. Reset button. Trail connectivity after orbit inherently.

Performance fixed dt =0.004 stable RK4 requested stable numerical time step. Implement RK4. steps perhaps speed 10 per frame? dt=0.004 and 8 =0.032/frame, after ~20 sec 12000 points. Good. Initial butterfly appears 2 sec. Max 18000. Do no integration if hidden? requestAnimationFrame natural. clamp delta .05. Speed controls optional "1×". Could add speed range but not needed. Info integration "RK4 · Δt 0.004".

Line draw count. On first point positions all zeros except index0 set. Bounding sphere compute? set static boundingSphere to radius100 to avoid compute and disappearing. geometry.boundingSphere = new THREE.Sphere(new THREE.Vector3(),100). For line render.

Additive blending on dark. Line colors. Should use outputEncoding perhaps r146 renderer.outputEncoding=THREE.sRGBEncoding; toneMapping ACESFilmic. Set pixel ratio min2. antialias.

Background can use CSS radial gradient behind transparent canvas? renderer alpha true and clearAlpha 0. CSS. Scene fog might affect. Renderer setClearColor(0x05070d,1) then CSS not seen. Better scene.background new Color('#060811'), add giant plane? CSS gradient if alpha true renderer setClearColor(0x000000,0). Then canvas background CSS visible. Grid. Fog no since background null. use scene.fog = new FogExp2(0x060811, .006) affects grid and line perhaps undesirable. Skip.

Sprite texture canvas 64 radial gradient. SpriteMaterial additive depthWrite false. scale 3.5. Core sphere 0.23 MeshBasicMaterial white.

Axis small labels in 3D? not necessary. Orbital rings perhaps line loop faint elliptical guides to visual. Grid floor enough.

At 9 sec only one lobe, okay eventually two. Perhaps speed faster for visual verify, perhaps 8 steps gives ~10 sec one lobe typical Lorenz transition after t10? at t9 still initial spiral left? Lorenz initial known x positive initially, moves positive lobe then switches around 12. At 20 secs shape. Fine. I have time test pause etc. Browser click pause, snapshot before/after drag. Shape appears two lobes but camera angle makes narrow; color almost white due additive tone? Actually lines pale cyan and white; color subtle. Could improve visible color by normal blending for core and additive low glow. Current core additive + white grid? ACES not set. Why white? Color values max and overlapping saturate. fine luminous.

Should orbit paused and verify same count. Drag.

Reset while paused: user says Reset clears and restores initial; "then reset and check trail starts again from initial state" Could reset while paused remains paused, doesn't start growth until resume. Requirement ambiguous: Reset should likely resumes? User verifies pause growth moving camera then reset and check trail starts again initial. User may click reset and expect growth even if paused? Typical reset does not change paused state but phrase "trail starts again" implies simulation running. Better Reset should perhaps preserve pause? Most apps Reset while paused resets and remains paused, but explicit test likely reset then check. To satisfy strongest make Reset call setPaused(false), ensuring starts. User required Reset clears trail and restores initial simulation state, not pause state. Could resume on reset. Do that. Also reset count shows one initial; test snapshot. I should update reset setPaused(false). This ensures. Then test click.

Interesting initial view glow at y603 near grid not centered because head world y=-25, camera looking 0; expected below center yes. Full attractor camera fine.

Perhaps max bound test mathematically. Overflow logic copyWithin length count*3 old count perhaps18000 and overflow8 -> positions copy 0 from24 to54000 copies 17976. count17992 append8 ->18000. continuous. fine.

Performance using newStates arrays each frame okay.

Potential camera min radius 58 with actual attractor max distance sqrt(20^2+25^2+27^2)=41.5 safe.

Checks good. Potential issue trail is too thin colored white. User luminous-looking colored yes. More important "full attractor initially" frame camera yes. I could test max bounded without waiting via API no advance. Not needed. Could inspect console no errors just GL warnings. Response concise mention checked and unverified. Make sure no network resources external, yes.

One thing requirement stable numerical timestep and initial (0.1,0,0). RK4 correct. Yes.

Could response say implemented, verified growth, pause frozen during orbit and zoom, connected visible new angle, reset resumes from initial, bounded not soak-tested. Browser inspection of count initial after reset not exact but 57 at .22 from .1. Good.

I need perhaps not overdo.

Implemented `index.html` with: - RK4 Lorenz integration using the specified constants and initial state - Progressive, colored luminous trajectory capped at 18,000 points - Custom drag-to-orbit and wheel-to-zoom camera controls - Pause/Resume, Reset, and keyboard shortcuts - Live state telemetry and responsive presentation - No external assets or network requests Verified in the browser: trajectory growth, two-lobed rendering, trail visibility after orbiting, zooming, frozen growth while paused, and reset restarting from the initial state. No JavaScript errors appeared; only browser WebGL performance warnings were reported. Long-duration buffer-wrap behavior was not soak-tested.
