Prompt for this run

Build a Windows 95-style desktop interface using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed. Write it to `index.html` in the current working directory using your file tools. Inline your own CSS and JavaScript. Do not use external assets, CDNs, or network requests. No third-party libraries are provided. Required behavior: - Show desktop icons for Notepad and About, a taskbar, a Start button/menu, and a clock that updates to the local time. - Double-clicking an icon or selecting its Start-menu item opens the corresponding window. Notepad contains an editable text area; About contains a short information panel. - Windows can be dragged by their title bars, focused by clicking, and closed. The focused window appears in front. Closing and reopening an application must work; retaining Notepad text during the session is optional. - Each open application appears in the taskbar. Clicking its taskbar entry brings its window to the front. The Start menu opens and closes and dismisses after launching an application. - Keep title bars reachable within the desktop. Use CSS and inline drawings for the retro chrome and icons; no external assets. Verify: Open Notepad through the Start menu, enter text, and drag its title bar. Open About and switch focus using a taskbar entry. Check that the selected window comes to the front and that closing a window removes its taskbar entry.

Done. `index.html` (self-contained, ~19KB, zero external requests) is saved in the working directory. **Windows 95 desktop implemented:** teal desktop with Notepad/About icons (pure CSS drawings), taskbar with Start button/menu and live local-time clock, blue-gradient title bars with close buttons, taskbar entries per open app, start menu that toggles, launches apps, and dismisses. **Actually checked in the browser:** - Start menu opens, launching Notepad through it works — window + taskbar entry appear, menu dismisses ✅ - Typing into Notepad works ("Hello Windows 95!" rendered in the textarea) ✅ - About opens via Start menu, lands in front with active (blue) titlebar while Notepad grays out ✅ - Clicking Notepad's taskbar entry brings it to the front ✅ - Closing removes the taskbar entry (About's entry disappeared, DOM confirmed only Notepad remained; close/reopen cycle works across reloads) ✅ - Clock ticks with local time (6:46 → 6:51 AM across checks), no console errors ✅ **Remains unverified:** titlebar drag movement and the exact ✕-button pixel. The drag code is standard pointerdown/move/up + mousedown fallback with clamping that keeps title bars reachable, but the harness's drag tool never moved the window, and its click coordinates don't map 1:1 to small targets (my ✕/OK clicks landed off-target). In a real browser, mousedown-drag on the blue title bar moves the window and ✕ closes it — worth one manual drag/close to confirm.
